How to request deletion

Email us and we will delete your account and, if you ask for it, permanently erase all the data attached to it.

Email a deletion request

Send it from the email address on your account, with the subject Erase my data. If you write from a different address we will ask you to verify that you control the account, so that we do not delete someone else’s data by mistake.

We confirm receipt within 7 days and complete erasure within 30 days.

Account deletion deactivates; it does not erase. We are explicit about this because the difference matters. Deleting your account stops all access and ends your subscription to messages, but your assessment answers, results and certificate records remain in our database. We keep them briefly so an accidental deletion can be undone, and so a certificate you have already shared with an employer does not break without warning.

If you want it all gone, use the erasure request above. That is a permanent deletion and cannot be reversed.

Security and audit logs are kept for up to 24 months even after erasure. These records exist to investigate fraud and unauthorised access. They are minimised and are not used for any other purpose.

Certificates you have already shared

A certificate you have given to an employer or client can be verified by anyone holding its number. Once your data is erased, those certificates stop verifying and will show as not found.

If you only want to stop a specific certificate from being verifiable, you do not need to delete your account. Email us and we will revoke that certificate on its own.

Advertising identifiers

Ads in the mobile application are served by Google AdMob using your device’s advertising identifier, which is controlled by your device rather than by your account. Deleting your account does not reset it.
